We are proud to offer an education programme of selected theatre, dance, multimedia and music performances. The Education Programme has been made possible with support from Eastern & Central Community Trust.
The performances are across multiple venues throughout the region and it is advised that when you book tickets you visit the venue page of the website for more information.
The selected programme is offered in three sections, Holiday, Primary and Intermediate and Secondary. This is to clearly show the educational community that there are some highly recommended shows offered in the holiday programme and then in the following week specific curriculum targeted shows for primary, Intermediate and secondary.
The selected programme will offer a variety of opportunities for the community to engage with the performances. Where possible, a digital educational resource pack will be available to assist educators in their practice and students to gain a deeper understanding of the performance. Where possible there will be a facilitated question and answer sessions with the cast and potentially director. This is where the community can enquire about the process undertaken in the creation of the performance or ask specific questions that link to the curriculum. Also, a series of workshops will be offered but will have a minimum number of participants to ensure that they will go ahead. As we confirm artists to run workshops this will be communicated to you and added to the workshop section of the website.
Bookings are now open to the educational community in the following performances but will not be open to the public. This is to enable you to organise numbers and finances to ensure that all can enjoy in what the Festival has to offer. Ticket numbers are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
