Taonga Moana

[Tickets also via Ticketek] A Love Letter to the Oceans. World-premiere. New Zealand's premier national chamber choir, Voices New Zealand, performs a stunning musical reminder of the beauty and importance of our oceans.

Taonga Moana is a celebration of uplifting and moving music by composers from Canada, Latvia, Indonesia and the United States, as well as new works by New Zealand's Warren Maxwell - capturing his personal experiences of the Southern Ocean and Antarctica; and Finland's Jaakko Mäntyjärvi - who writes about the currents of the Arctic Ocean.

The glorious music will be accompanied by a landscape of projected moving images from Australian multimedia artists Tim and Mic Gruchy, creating a spectacular audiovisual experience.

Conductor: Karen Grylls,
Director/Storyboard: Sara Brodie,
Audio Visuals: Tim and Mic Gruchy
