Hastings District Council
Art and culture are very important to the fabric of Hastings; from our many-layered Maori stories through history, to our modern day arts based on physical features like our art deco architecture and horticultural evolution. And, of course, the experiences and physical features which have contributed to that culture and art come from and reach into all the corners of our region, from Cape Kidnappers to Te Mata Peak, across the Heretaunga Plains through Central Hawke’s Bay, and up to Wairoa.
Hastings District Council is very pleased to be a core funder of the Harcourts Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival, which fits perfectly with our passion for arts and culture and gives our people the opportunity to see wonderful international, national and local performances in our own backyard.
Hastings and Havelock North i-SITES are the primary accommodation service and tourism information provider as well as providing ticketing support to the Harcourts Hawke's Bay Arts Festival.
